HOMEGOING helps families make funeral programs and memorial pages. We built it so that what you write about someone you love stays with you.
What stays on your device
Everything you type and every photo you add is saved only on your device (in the app, or in your browser's storage on the web). There is no account and no sign-in. We cannot see your programs. Deleting the app or clearing the browser's site data removes them, so save a backup file if you want a copy.
When something leaves your device
- Publishing a memorial page (only if you choose to). The page you publish, and smaller copies of the photos on it, are stored on our hosting provider so people with the link can open it. The link is unlisted and marked so search engines do not index it. Your device keeps a private edit key; only its fingerprint is stored with the page.
- Guestbook. Visitors who sign a published page share the name, relationship and message they type. To prevent abuse we keep a one-way fingerprint of the visitor's network address with the time of their last message, used only to slow down repeated posting; we do not store the address itself. The family can hide any entry.
- Purchases. In the app, purchases go through Apple; we receive Apple's signed record of the purchase (no card details, no Apple ID) to confirm an unlock before publishing. On the web, payments go through Stripe; we ask Stripe only whether the checkout was paid.
- Sharing and printing. When you share a PDF, print, or send a text, that goes through your device's own share sheet, printer or Messages app.
What we never do
- No advertising, no tracking, no analytics that follow you, and no selling or sharing of data.
- No artificial intelligence is used on photos. Photos are only cropped, scaled or turned, exactly as you set them.
Removing a published page
Write to trevbeatsmultimedia@gmail.com with the page link and we will take it down, along with its photos and guestbook.
Children
HOMEGOING is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect information from children.
